Cork Block

By Alan Shepard

This is really a money saving tip, rather than DIY.

A waxing cork bought in resort or off the net will cost you about £2.00.

A decorator’s cork sanding block from B&Q will cost you £1.58. (in 2006)

This block can be cut into three with a bread knife (I bet you could make a neater job of it than this).

If you prefer synthetic wax blocks, there are synthetic sanding blocks you can buy.

The end result is you now have three waxing blocks for less than the cost of one. So when you lend out your block and it doesn’t come back, it isn’t a problem any more.
