Generally smooth tarmac, regularly swept and few potholes, 'Serpentine Road' stretch of tarmac is wide, flat and good for beginners.
Lots of park users to be aware of. Horses should be approached with caution, and skiers should stop poling. Cyclists use mainly the outer trails. Best avoided on weekend afternoons as very busy with skaters.
Car parks (metered parking), cafe in centre of the park, public toilets, boat hire in the summer.
The park is occasionally closed for large running events.
