The track follows the north east corner of the lake, with a good straight, elevated section along the dam
Smooth tarmac cycle path, suitable for classic and skate.
Some gates where route crosses tracks, and sheep may be present along unfenced sections.
- One semi-steep hill 200m from Whitwell if going in anti-clockwise direction.
- A popular route for cyclists of all ages.
- Route goes through a car park just north of the dam.
